In thick fog the ocean going motor tug ‘Witte Zee’ attempted to assist a ship ‘Brother George’ who had ran aground when she stuck a rock. All the crew were rescued.

The wreck is almost upright and intact, although she is beginning to show signs of breaking up. In the past she has been a popular dive site.
