Netley Abbey SS was a British Cargo Steamer of 1630 tons built in 1978. On the 4th August 1899 when on route from Cardiff fror Cronstadt carrying a cargo of 2,300 tons of coal for the Russian Government she collided in fog with HMS Surprise and sank.
