The ‘Everleigh’ was the last ship lost in the area due to enemy action. She was travelling from Southend for Barry Roads and New York in ballast when she was torpedoed on her port side by U-1017. Six of her 49 crew were killed in the explosion.

She is a large wreck which sits almost upright. One to definitely add to your wish list.
