Diver magazine, some time ago, called Swanage Pier one of the 10 best sites in Britain and who am I to argue.
I do know that if you ask any group of divers at least one will have dived the pier. Its safe, ideal for novice divers or any diver wishing to try out new kit. Our boats operate from the lower pier deck which is 100 metres on the left beyond Divers Down. Parking is available on the pier (if you're early enough) or adjacent to the pier. Air and nitrox is available from Divers Down. Full details about the pier can be found on the Swanage Pier site. Charges are made by the Pier Trust (a registered charity) to help maintain the pier. If you are a diver it's £1.50 to come on and a whole day's parking is £6.00.
