Grasmere Reef - Barge project.
You may or may not have heard us talk about our 'Barge project'.
For those that haven't we are the main party behind the non-profit community group pushing to obtain permissions to sink a 85' Barge as an artificial reef in Swanage Bay. It will be approx 50m away from the Fleur de Lys near to Ballard point as it's a great place for training new or inexperienced divers (14m).
This project has now been running for the last couple of years and has taken many hours of persistent chasing to try and secure all the necessary permissions in which to sink the vessel.
We have now created the website to help gain support and awareness of what we are trying achieve. Click here to visit website. The site is still currently under construction, but will be updated very soon.
