Wreck Diver - pdf flyer

With the British Isles having so many historical wreck sites around her shores, it won't be long until you decide to take a look, if you haven't already. This is where the past meets the present, experience the adrenalin rush that can not be duplicated by other types of dives. It's the challenge of discovering & exploring sunken vessels. The Wreck Diver Specialty course is intended as a safe, supervised introduction to wreck diving, with emphasis on theory, techniques, equipment and fun.

This course goes beyond what is required by looking at wreck site navigation and the roles that the Receiver of Wreck and the Nautical Archeology play.

Drysuit Diver - pdf flyer

Enriched Air (Nitrox Diver) - pdf flyer

As you learnt on your open water course, the body's absorption of nitrogen is the main limiting factor on the time you can spend underwater.  Using Nitrox allows you to stay underwater longer and get back into the water sooner.

Example;

The maximum depth on the Kyarra is 30m.  Diving on air (21% oxygen 79% nitrogen) on the RDP gives you a total bottom time of 20 mins.

If you used Nitrox 32 (that's 32% oxygen 68% nitrogen), your bottom time becomes 30 minutes.

If you used Nitrox 36, your bottom time increases to 35 minutes!

This course can be done as a self study and does not require any training dives.

Drift Diver - pdf flyer

Drift Diving is effortless and relaxing because you simply glide with the current and feel the rush of flying underwater. With this type of diving come special procedures that you need to know so you can maximise your fun underwater.

If you would like to continue with your training, this is the perfect opportunity to learn about some of the special and exciting types of dives available. The PADI Drift diver course builds experience and understanding of drift diving, and can be taken directly after the Open Water course. Swanage has many excellent drift dives, the muscle beds and Peveril Ledges immediately come to mind. This course will teach you the skills required to enjoy these dives safely.

Boat Diver - pdf flyer

Whether you've never made a boat dive or you've logged dozens, the PADI Boat Diver Specialty course can benefit almost every diver because different boats in different parts of the world do things differently. The PADI Boat Diver Specialty course familiarises you with the various ways you stow gear, enter and exit the water, use surface lines and more, depending upon the type boat and the location.

Other than shore entry, the only other type of diving in the UK is from a boat. If you have never dived off a boat before, you might wounder if you put your kit on before you get on the boat or afterwards? How do you enter the water? How do you get out afterwards? Where's the best place to sit on the boat? What do you wear? How do you find the dive site once you're in the water? All these questions and more will be answered. We'll look at boat diving procedures, where to stow your kit, descending/ascending shot lines, procedures for entering and exiting the water and much more. The skills learnt will be through practical experience on 2 open water boat dives.
